I do hope it's allowed to ask this question here, I'm kind of desperate right now and this community seemed the right place to ask.
I am 25 weeks pregnant and since one week I've had MASSIVE pain in my pubic bone. Doing some research I quickly realised that it has to be the phenomenon of symphysis widening pain. The descriptions fit 100% to what I'm feeling. I do have a doctor's appintment tomorrow and of course I'll ask her- but I also think as she is not a PT or specially educated in anatomy, I wanted to ask here in addition. I feel like there MUST be something I can do!!!
Now, my question is: Which muscles do need strengthening here? And which exercises can you recommend? Maybe there are people here who have experienced this and I would love to hear your opinion.
I'm also wondering: Is this happening because I don't have enough core strength? I've read that in some articles.
And: Are there things to avoid? I've tried Lara's class yesterday (before pregnancy, I pracised every day, since I'm pregnant I have been so low on energy I could only do 1-3 classes per week) but yesterdays class was the first one since I got the symphysis symptoms and although during the pracise I felt only little pain, some hours afterwards it got SO bad. So probably I shouldn't be doing that...
