Circular motion is built in throughout today's flow. The word for the circular biomechanics patterns in movement is called circumduction and it is truly beneficial in so many ways - particularly at the hip joint! It helps to create space as well as starts the flow of synovial fluid further lubricating the joint and preparing for a greater workload.
Start with smaller circular patterns. In the beginning of the flow, it's not necessarily about going bigger, but keeping it smaller and more precise! By focusing on controlled motion, we are really focus on the space within the joint and and seeing how the motion can help to alleviate tightness.
We need to make space. Not only in our joints, but in our lives. Life is like a continuous cycle - just like the motions in today's flow. Coming to a seated position just focus on the cycle of the breath and how it circulates through the lungs. Follow the flow of energy and feel it tingle your senses and stimulate your body from head to toe. Namaste!
