Today we work on getting strong, structurally smart movement for all of the systems in the body to keep you healthy and breathing easy!
Working with your deep core and neutral pelvis you can access a bigger, fuller breath. That life-giving process helps to prevent illness from manifesting and residing in your physical body. Through focused attention and mindful movement, you can ensure your lymphatic system is getting the lubrication and support it needs to keep you feeling clear and bright.
Everything that can affect your breathing can affect your immunity. Focus on true hip flexion to ensure you are keeping the bowl of the pelvis neutral so that your diaphragm can work fully to give you bigger, stronger breaths. Work on strengthening your hip flexors so that you don't fall into compensatory patterns that don't allow for a more optimal breath.
Immunity is all about how well your body can clear the inevitable "things" that we take in. Movement is this beautiful elixir that is necessary for moving the lymphatic system and clearing out any fo the foreigners that our body takes on.
Keep in mind the ultimate goal is to activate your strong core and move through that connection. As you twist, think about the movement coming from your center, supported by your core. Grow tall to ensure a neutral spine, and synchronize your breath and movement to help clear your body of any residual or budding illness.
Movement is medicine. This practice helps boost your immunity from not just physical illness, but from all of the things that might be plaguing you in this moment. Let's get mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally stronger together. Namaste!
